Fullført utvidelse av sykehus

Aarhus Universitetshospital Sykehus Forum is the final phase of the expansion of Aarhus University Hospital. This landmark structure consolidates several highly specialized functions and, along with Forum Park, serves as a central hub and landmark for Denmark's largest hospital. The Forum building has been operational since January 2023, binding the new hospital wings together along a north-south axis.

Tett samarbeid med partnere

The Forum project involved a close collaboration among various stakeholders, including LINK Arkitektur, Region Midtjylland, contractor Nordstern, landscape architect SLA, and engineer SWECO. The overarching vision for the project was to create a lasting, flexible, and human-centered design. The architects aimed to ensure that the building would not only serve current needs but also adapt to future requirements.

Forum Park og sentralt tårn

The complex features a central tower building and a new green space called Forum Park. Forum Park, designed with an organic shape and rich biodiversity, acts as an active and green meeting point for the entire hospital. The building integrates into the landscape with green terraces and luminous outdoor spaces, crowned by a high-rise offering views over Aarhus. The complex includes critical facilities such as a patient hotel, laboratories, a church, an animal division, a biobank, and the new Steno Diabetes Center Aarhus, dedicated to diabetes research and treatment.

Årets sykehusbygg 2023

In January 2023, the Forum building received the public award for Hospital Building of the Year 2023 from the international architecture platform Archello. This accolade highlights the building's significance and positive reception by the community and professionals alike. The commitment to delivering an innovative and functional healthcare environment has been acknowledged and celebrated by peers in the architectural and healthcare sectors.
