To kontorbygg på kunstig nes

Global Business Gate is a significant new office development located on a newly constructed artificial peninsula extending approximately 100 meters into the Göta River at Masthuggskajen in central Göteborg. The project comprises two office buildings with 26 and 12 floors respectively, offering a total gross floor area of about 46,000 square meters. This development is strategically positioned to enhance Göteborg's attractiveness as a business hub, especially for companies engaged in international trade and export-oriented activities.

BRA Bygg leder bygging

The construction project is managed by BRA Bygg (a Swedish subsidiary of Veidekke) under a collaborative agreement with the Global Business Gate initiative. The ownership is shared between Elof Hansson Fastigheter and Alecta Fastigheter. The project is currently in the early stages of a collaborative (samspills) phase with BRA Bygg, which will transition into a formal construction contract included in Veidekke's order reserves once the phase is complete. Construction began with land formation around 2022, with above-ground building activities scheduled to commence in 2025.

2 500 fleksible arbeidsplasser

Global Business Gate is designed to be an innovative meeting place and a vibrant ecosystem for international companies, including specialists in transportation, legal services, communication, and IT. It will provide approximately 2,500 workplaces, with flexible features such as coworking spaces, shared meeting rooms, and project areas to foster networking, collaboration, and knowledge exchange. Early engagement with prospective tenants allows them to influence the design and configuration of their office spaces, contributing to a tailor-made working environment.

Styrker Göteborgs eksportregion

The development will significantly strengthen Göteborg’s position as Sweden’s leading export region by enhancing the business environment and improving recruitment opportunities for companies. Additionally, Global Business Gate will contribute to the liveliness of the Masthuggskajen district, which is evolving into a mixed-use urban area blending offices, residences, cultural venues, restaurants, cafes, and shops. This integration supports the creation of a dynamic neighborhood with strong cultural influences from nearby areas like Haga and Linné.

Ferdigstillelse og innflytting 2027

The project’s timeline projects completion and tenant move-in by late 2027. It is expected to become a landmark for Göteborg's international outlook and commercial openness. While no specific environmental or risk management details have been provided, the project's location on newly reclaimed land and its scale imply careful attention to engineering, environmental impact, and urban integration will be necessary throughout the construction process.
