Største domstol i Norden

The Malmö Court Building is the largest court facility in the Nordic region, covering approximately 34,000 m2. The structure comprises a four-level building with a common foundation and five offset towers that are gradually stepped down in height. The design reflects a deft combination of historical values and contemporary influences, achieved through an innovative interplay of brick and glass materials.

Banebrytende fasadeteknologi

The project has garnered attention for its groundbreaking facade, which features advanced technologies and materials. The facade spans 16,552 m2 of unitized double-skin curtain walls, 1,500 m2 of stick curtain walls, and 10,618 m2 of double-skin elements featuring self-cleaning BIOCLEAN glass. This makes it one of the largest installations in Europe to implement such advanced glass technology, providing both aesthetic appeal and functional benefits.

Samarbeid mellom toppaktører

The project was a collaborative effort among several top-tier professionals, including architects from Henning Larsen, developer Castellum, and contractor Peab. Additionally, the KGC Group played a crucial role in the design, production, transportation, and installation of the facades. This integrated teamwork has resulted in a forward-thinking and innovative structure that enhances the urban landscape while respecting the existing architectural context.

Høye miljøstandarder

One of the key benefits of the Malmö Court Building is its adherence to high environmental standards, focusing on energy use and indoor environmental quality. The innovative use of BIOCLEAN glass reduces the need for frequent and intensive cleaning, saving water and cleaning resources, and demonstrating the building's commitment to sustainability.

Vant Årets Fasade 2023

The project was completed in 2021 and has since received accolades, including the prestigious Facade of the Year 2023. This recognition underscores the project's success in combining advanced technology with a beautiful aesthetic, significantly contributing to the character and environment of the surrounding urban space.
